    Manhattan clinic loses $7,756 in theft and forgery case

    The Riley County Police Department is investigating a theft and forgery case reported Thursday afternoon in Manhattan.

    Officers filed the report around 2:10 p.m. Dec. 18 in the 1600 block of Charles Place. The Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center was listed as the victim after staff reported that two business checks were stolen and later cashed by unknown suspects. The total loss is estimated at $7,756.42.

    Anyone with information is asked to contact the Riley County Police Department or Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Tips may remain anonymous and could qualify the reporting party for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
