Kansas State volleyball punched its ticket to the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday with a five-set upset win over No. 8 seed San Diego (21-25, 25-17, 26-28, 25-22, 15-12).
The Wildcats earned their first win in the NCAA Tournament since 2016, winning their sixth five-set victory of the year.
K-State hits .542 in the 2nd to overcome an opening set loss
Aniyah Clinton totaled five kills in the second set of Friday’s match as the Wildcats bounced back from down 1-0 to grab their largest single-set victory, 25-17.
