The Riley County Police Department has made three more arrests as part of its ongoing investigation into a homicide that occurred early Dec. 6 in the 800 block of Colorado Street.

Police arrested 47-year-old Danielle Sanchez of Manhattan around 2:41 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, in the 1000 block of Pottawatomie Court. She is charged with interference with a law enforcement officer; concealing, altering or destroying evidence in a felony case; and attempted obstruction of apprehension or prosecution. Sanchez was issued a total bond of $10,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Two other suspects, 24-year-old Joleann Killham and 22-year-old Eli Smith, both of Manhattan, were arrested on Dec. 10 on similar charges of interference with a law enforcement officer; concealing or destroying evidence in a felony case; and obstructing apprehension or prosecution. Both were issued $10,000 bonds. Killham has since been released, while Smith remains confined at the time of this release.

These arrests follow the apprehension of 29-year-old Erick Sanchez-Chavez of Manhattan, who was taken into custody on Dec. 8 and charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault and criminal threat in the death of 36-year-old Mark Rickenbaker. Sanchez-Chavez remains confined in the Riley County Jail on a $1,000,000 bond.

Police say the case remains an active investigation.
