A Manhattan woman convicted of multiple drug charges this year was scheduled to receive her sentence Monday in Riley County District Court, but her case now faces a delay.

Catrien Van-Petten, 36, was convicted in September of conspiracy to distribute over 1,000 units of fentanyl within 1,000 feet of a school, possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession with the intent to distribute between 10 and 99 units of fentanyl within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Instead of proceeding with Van-Petten’s sentencing, Judge John Bosch granted her pro se motion for withdrawal of defense counsel and set the case for a status hearing Jan. 12, after ordering new defense counsel be appointed.
