    K-State adds 5 more from portal, including coveted Mizzou WR

    Kansas City four-star wide receiver Joshua Manning and four-star Maize quarterback Avery Johnson stand in front of Anderson Hall during a campus visit in June of 2022. Manning is transferring to K-State after spending three seasons at Missouri.

    For the third day in a row, Kansas State football has gotten good returns out of the transfer portal.

    The commitments of five new incoming Wildcats were announced on Wednesday, led by junior wide receiver Joshua Manning, a player whom K-State recruited heavily out of high school.

    In addition to Manning, the Wildcats added Cal Poly (FCS) offensive lineman Charlie Adams, Coastal Carolina defensive end Jayden Bryant, Cincinnati defensive tackle Kamari Burns and Toledo kicker Robert Hammond III.
