    Manhattan man arrested in rape investigation

    A Manhattan man was arrested Friday afternoon in connection with a rape reported Thursday night.

    Riley County Police say officers filed the report around 11:19 a.m. Jan. 23. A 54-year-old woman was listed as the victim, and a 24-year-old man known to her was identified as the suspect.

    Police arrested Griffin Day, 24, of Manhattan, at approximately 3:15 p.m. on a charge of rape.

    Day was issued a total bond of $200,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the release.

    Due to the nature of the case and the ongoing investigation, no additional information will be released.
