Snow is becoming more likely to impact northeast Kansas from Friday afternoon through early Sunday, with forecasters warning of potentially hazardous travel conditions.
While exact snowfall amounts remain uncertain, most locations are expected to see at least some accumulation from falling and blowing snow. Roads could become slick, particularly during periods of heavier snowfall and overnight.
Behind the system, very cold air is expected to move into the region. Wind chill values could drop as low as minus 20 degrees Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings, creating dangerous conditions for anyone spending time outdoors.
