College football’s transfer portal has made roster turnover feel inevitable. Players arrive, contribute, and often leave before anyone has time to learn much about them beyond a jersey number.
This week’s sprint to building a roster has shown us that K-State has been active in the portal, just like many teams, but a closer look at how the Wildcats are building suggests something more deliberate than a short-term shuffle.
Yes, the names have piled up. Yes, the roster has changed quickly. That part isn’t unique.
What stands out is how K-State is building, not just who they are building with. Under first-year head coach Collin Klein, this doesn’t look like a one-year scramble to stay afloat. It looks like a plan.
