A Colorado woman was seriously injured Sunday in a crash on Interstate 70 in Riley County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says 61-year-old Ralph Wilson of Euless, Texas, was driving a semi westbound on I-70 and was pulling onto the shoulder just west of Tallgrass Road when his trailer was rear-ended.

Troopers say the other vehicle, driven by 26-year-old Shikeem Johnson of Colorado Springs, then went into the median. Two passengers were in Johnson’s car — 24-year-old Nicole Johnson and a 5-year-old child, both from Colorado Springs.

Nicole Johnson was taken to the KU Medical Center with suspected serious injuries. No others were hurt in the crash.
