A Manhattan city commissioner hopes some of the state’s top leaders in Washington, D.C., will meet with constituents in Manhattan soon to debate top political issues.
Karen McCulloh is calling for a town hall discussion with Republican U.S. Sens. Roger Marshall and Jerry Moran as well as Rep. Tracey Mann. She said the conversations would be targeted at breaking the silence between lawmakers and the public.
“What I want to see is a dialogue,” McCulloh said. “Nobody is talking to anybody. Everybody’s got their little firm decision, sitting in their camp and they’re unwilling to do anything to communicate with the others.”
