The Wabaunsee girls battled through an early wave of turnovers and leaned on a dominant performance from Talen Orton to defeat South Gray High School 44–32 in the Class 1A D-I state quarterfinals on Wednesday night at Kansas Wesleyan University.
With the win, the Chargers advance to the state semifinals in Dodge City.
