RCPD Report 3/11/26

Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at approximately 10:38 p.m. on March 10, 2026 in the 17000 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. Upon arrival, officers found a 2015 Chevy Impala driven by Alexis Trimble, 24, of Marysville, had hit two guardrails in a single-vehicle accident. Trimble was transported to Via Christi Hospital by Riley County EMS for her injuries.

Officers executed a search warrant in the 1700 block of Winne Drive at approximately 2:07 p.m. on March 10. As a result, officers filed a report for three counts of possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant and one count each for distribution/possession with intent to distribute heroin/certain stimulants/fentanyl (3.5-100 grams), distributing material containing fentanyl, distribute or possess with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia for illegal use, use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body, and aggravated endangering of a child. DeShell Patterson, 25, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 5:05 p.m. on three counts of possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant and one count each for distribution/possession with intent to distribute heroin/certain stimulants/fentanyl (3.5-100 grams), distribute material containing fentanyl, distribute or possess with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia for illegal use, use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body, and aggravated endangering of a child. Patterson was issued a total bond of $75,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

LaShenna Dye, 36, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 4:20 p.m. on three counts of possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant, and one count each for distributing material containing fentanyl, distribution/possession with intent to distribute heroin/certain stimulants/fentanyl (3.5-100 grams), distribute or possess with intent to distribute drug paraphernalia for illegal use, use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body, and aggravated endangering of a child. Dye was issued a total bond of $75,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Ricky Smith, 29, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 2:21 p.m. on March 10 in the 1700 block of Winne Drive on a Geary County District Court warrant for probation violation. Smith was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

Officers responded to a report of an injury accident at approximately 11:23a.m. on March 10 in the 400 block of E. Highway 24. Upon arrival, officers found a 2023 Hyundai Tucson driven by Dennis Ortbals, 74, of Manhattan, had had crashed with a 2024 Nissan Sentra driven by Aubrey Heier-Gonzalez, 17, of Manhattan. Marilyn Ortbals, 72, of Manhattan, was a passenger in the Tucson. Dennis and Marilyn Ortbals were both transported to Via Christi Hospital by Pottawatomie County EMS for their injuries. Dennis Ortbals was issued a citation for failure to yield at a stop sign.
