Officers filed a report of theft of property lost or mislaid at approximately 1:03 p.m. on March 24, 2026 in the 1600 block of Anderson Avenue. A 57-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported she left jewelry in a hotel room after checking out and the item is now missing. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $10,000. Anyone with information, contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward up to $1,000

Officers filed a report for two counts of violating a protection order, two counts of stalking, and one count each for criminal trespass, interference with a law enforcement officer, assault of a law enforcement officer and attempted battery of a law enforcement officer at approximately 10:36 a.m. on March 24 in the 100 block of Griffith Drive. Victims included a 34-year-old woman, a 56-year-old woman, a 24-year-old man and a 60-year-old man. A known 33-year-old man was listed as the suspect. Austin Cody Edge, 33, of Junction City, was arrested at 10:48 a.m. for two counts of violating a protection order, two counts of stalking, and one count each for criminal trespass, interference with a law enforcement officer, assault of a law enforcement officer and attempted battery of a law enforcement officer. Edge was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
