Officers filed a report for possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia, interference with law enforcement, violation of offender registration act, and aggravated violation of offender registration act near the intersection of N Juliette Ave and Poyntz Ave on April 7, 2026, at approximately 10:03 a.m. A 33-year-old man was listed as the suspect when it was reported he was in possession of illegal substances, in violation of the registered offender act, and interfered with law enforcement. Ty Suggs, 33, of Manhattan was arrested for possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia, interference with law enforcement, violation of offender registration act, and aggravated violation of offender registration act and on a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear. This warrant stems from original charges of theft. Suggs was issued a total bond of $20,500 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
