The annual 4-H garage sales are right around the corner.

John Jobe, 4-H Youth Development Agent, says they will once again hold their 4-H garage sales, but this year the event is even more special. He says it is the jump off point for all the 4-H participants who have focused on Citizenship Washington Focus over the last the two years, which will take place in late June.

“This will be the final sale we will have for about a year, then those young people will, like I said, travel across the country via bus,” Jobe adds. “We have some really cool and excursions along the way, and ultimately, they’ll be landing in Washington DC for a week of citizenship and leadership experience, along with definitely some sight seeing and historical tours.”

He says the format of the sale will be the same again this year.

“We do intake starting on Wednesday evening, which this year that will be Wednesday, April 6. And then we will do intake all day April 7, which is a Thursday and then our sale will run all day Friday and then from 8 AM until noon on Saturday.”

The sale will be at Wreath Barn at CiCo Park beginning at 9 AM on April 8. The sale will run until 8 PM on Friday and will reopen Saturday from 8 AM to noon. Donations of all kinds will be accepted for the sale, other than TV’s.
