Riley County Police Patrol Division Captain Tim Hegarty says crime has gone down compared to what it was at this time last year.
Hegarty expects first half of the statistics to be released within the next few weeks, but at this point can conclude that crime is down. As of today, Riley County has decrease in crime by about 3.1%, meanwhile Manhattan has decreased by 5.1%.
