Manhattan Broadcasting Company and the Manhattan Mercury announced this week they are forming a cooperating agreement. Manhattan Mercury Publisher and Editor-in-Chief Ned Seaton spoke about the new agreement. “The time has come for both of them to help each other do a better job of informing the community and helping businesses reach consumers and the things that both KMAN and the Mercury and the other stations at Manhattan Broadcasting have done for years anyway,” he said. Leadership ideas were shared Wednesday in the annual 60 in 60 event, hosted by the Manhattan Mercury at the Manhattan Conference Center. Six panelists of local celebrities provided 10 leadership ideas they’ve developed over time. The 47th annual Flint Hills Home Show was held at the Army National Guard in Manhattan on Saturday. Brad Hartenstein is the executive officer for the Flint Hills Area Builders Association and spoke about the event’s purpose. Over 95 local businesses were present at Saturday’s event. Hartenstein said that the event usually sees high turnout and that the biggest turnout is typically on Sundays as many come visit after church services.
