The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday announced the winners of its 2024 Business Awards, which recognize local businesses in six categories. The Kansas State men’s golf team put together its third-consecutive round of under-par golf on Tuesday, while senior Nicklaus Mason posted another round in the 60s as each recorded wire-to-wire victories at the Wildcat Invitational held at the par-72, 7,525-yard Colbert Hills Golf Course. The Wildcats posted their third-consecutive victory on their home course as they recorded a three-round total of 14-under par 850 to earn a 16-stroke win. The Indians defeated Blue Valley North 2-1 but were shut out by each Kansas City East and St. Thomas Aquinas. Manhattan’s record drops to 1-4 in the early stages of the season. By Beth Day/Times of Pott County WAMEGO, Sept. 17 – USD 320 met in three special sessions on Tuesday, much of which revolved around approving the 2024-2025 budget and approving exceeding the revenue neutral rate. The budget shows an increase in the mill levy from 55.099 to 56.147, a 1.0488 jump. This means that the tax for a $100,000 home will increase approximately $63 from $473.19 to $536.19, or 13.31%. Riley County needs more Election Day workers.
