The Kansas Board of Regents met Wednesday to discuss several items related to K-State. According to a press release from K-State Communications and Marketing, President Kirk Shulz gave an update on the U.S. News and World Report Best Graduate Schools ranking, which listed the university as improved in three colleges, two of which received an increase in financial support by the Kansas Legislature last year. A 26-year-old Manhattan man faces drug related charges following a Wednesday night arrest. Antoine Borden was arrested by police for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia while in the 1900 block of Hunting Avenue. Borden’s bond was set at  $10,000. ### A Manhattan man was taken into custody by Riley County Police on a warrant for motion to revoke probation violations.  Michael Strickland, 26, was arrested Wednesday afternoon shortly after four p.m. on the warrant,  with the original offense of criminal sodomy. By Chris Kutz, K-State Athletics Communications The K-State baseball team saw its four-game winning streak come to an end on Wednesday as the Wildcats surrendered four runs in the sixth inning that proved too much in a 6-3 loss to Creighton at Tointon Family Stadium.
