A Blaine man died in a two vehicle accident that closed a stretch of K-13 Highway for about four hours Friday afternoon. Warren Berg, 57, died in the crash, reported shortly after one p.m. Friday. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol , Berg was driving a 2000 Dodge Stratus northbound on K-13. about 12 and a half miles north of Manhattan, when for an unknown reason, the vehicle drifted across the center line. On February 11th, 2015 the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 5375 Hopkins Creek Road, rural St.George Kansas. The search warrant was a result of an investigation into an earlier reported burglary at 3490 Swamp Angle Road, Rural Manhattan. Sheriff Deputies had responded to CK Processing on February 8th, 2015 to investigate a burglary and theft.
