During Thursday’s Riley County Commission meeting, County Appraiser, Greg McHenry said his department has just completed the 2015 final review process. Change of value notices will be sent out on February 13th. This is two weeks ahead of the March 1st deadline, which McHenry said is due to the fact that his department sometimes has heightened years for notices. One man is dead after the small aircraft in which he was flying crashed into a TV tower while approaching an airport in West Texas. The crash knocked the TV station off the air and cut power in the local area. Power was knocked out briefly at United Supermarkets Arena where the Kansas State Men’s Basketball team played Texas Tech on Wednesday night delaying tip-off for about 10 minutes. The accident was in no way connected to Kansas State or its personnel.
