A report of a stolen vehicle was filed in the 2000 block of Little Kitten in Manhattan Thursday morning  at 7:49 AM. Stoneybrook Retirement Community of Manhattan reported a white in color 2014 Dodge Caravan with Kansas Handicapped Tag number 57818 was stolen while parked at the business. The vehicle was valued at approximately $20,000. A lawsuit involving a former K-State football player has been ruled on by the Kansas Supreme Court, with an opinion released Friday. The case involves former KSU offensive lineman Kendyl Jacox and Danitra Cain. Cain has been seeking unpaid child support post judment interest. Jacox played at Kansas State University from 1994-1997 and was in the NFL from 1998 until 2006, with 91 NFL starts. He’s from the Dallas, Texas area. Manhattan High offensive lineman Colton Wagner will play for the West team in the Kansas Shrine Bowl on Saturday in Hays. Wagner was a starter at right tackle for the Indians in 2014 and was a first-team all-league selection. The Indians have a rich tradition of sending players to the Shrine Bowl. Wagner was the 59th Manhattan High player all-time to be selected to play in the game. The only Kansas high school with more is Wichita Southeast. Riley County Health Department Director Brenda Nickel presented three contract agreements to county commissioners Thursday morning with local healthcare partners. The agreements are continuations of previous ones, and are with the Konza Prairie Community Health Center, Positive Connections — a community based HIV/AIDS service organization out of Topeka — and finally with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment for a Geary, Pottawatomie and Riley Counties Regional Public Health Preparedness Grant.
