Riley County police on Monday arrested a fourth teen suspect in the investigation of an April armed robbery. Rostyn Gage Rothwell, 17, of Hallsville, Texas, turned himself in to RCPD and was arrested for aggravated robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is held without bond at the North Central Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Center. Forecasters are urging residents to prepare for a potentially dangerous day of severe weather across the region on Tuesday, with threats that include large hail, damaging winds, tornadoes and flash flooding. Scattered light showers and non-severe storms will linger into early afternoon, with gusty winds up to 50 mph possible. The Manhattan Walmart reopened at 12:30 p.m. Monday, after closing Friday when someone reportedly started a fire in the store. An employee said in a phone interview Monday morning that the store had passed the required inspection and was preparing to open again after being closed for the entirety of Father’s Day weekend. The Riley County Police Department says three business thefts from last Monday are believed to be connected and the case is under investigation. Energy Center Pool Manhattan, the Flint Hills Breadbasket and Prairiestone Inc. all were victims of theft, as previously reported by News Radio KMAN and The Mercury.
