Police are investigating an aggravated assault reported Saturday night on Fort Riley Boulevard. According to the Riley County Police Department, officers filed a report at about 8:56 p.m. Feb. 7th near mile marker 187 of Fort Riley Boulevard. A 23-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman reported that an unknown suspect fired shots at their vehicle while they were driving in the area. No additional details were released. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact RCPD or Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Manhattan High boys’ basketball hung tough for a half Saturday afternoon before No. 8-ranked Maize pulled away in the second half for a 67-44 win. The Indians matched the Eagles early, tied 9-9 after the first quarter, and trailed just 25-22 at halftime. But Maize broke the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Manhattan 21-13 to build a 46-35 lead entering the final frame. A Salina woman was arrested Thursday by Riley County Police on a Pottawatomie County District Court warrant. Kelli Wilson, 38, was charged with a single count of theft by threat; $1,500 or less from three businesses in 72 hours. The warrant stems from an original report filed in November 2025. Online court records show Wilson has numerous felony charges from Saline County involving theft or trafficking contraband into a correctional facility. Wilson was issued no bond and released from the Riley County Jail.
