(K-State Athletics) – The K-State pitching staff combined for a program record 21 strikeouts while Kyan Lodice delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the 12th to hand the Wildcats a 7-6 victory over BYU Thursday night at Tointon Family Stadium. After a solo home run tied the game at 6-6 and sent the game into extra innings, Lodice’s single into center field with two outs off BYU reliever Stone Cushing scored Danniel Rivera from third and handed the Wildcats (30-21, 14-14 Big 12) their third walk-off win of the season. “Sometimes it doesn’t always go as planned,” said head coach Pete Hughes following…
Officers filed a report of aggravated arson and arson in the 100 block of Eighth Street in Ogden on May 16, 2024, at approximately 9:33 PM. Officers listed three victims; a 57-year-old male, 28-year-old female, and a 29-year-old male when it was reported a known suspect pour gas onto a vehicle and set it on fire. The fire then spread to another vehicle and the residence. There were no injuries as a result of the arson. Total estimated loss is still being calculated.

Many Manhattan residents on Tuesday received text messages opposing a “new rec and fitness center” because of the tax increases that likely would come with it. The message reads, “Inflation. Rising gas prices. Now more taxes?!” The messages seem to refer to a plan by city parks and rec officials, who have proposed, among other things, revamping City Park and constructing a new indoor aquatic center on the park’s northern edge near Fremont Street. MANHATTAN, Kan. (K-State Athletics) – Kansas State added depth to its quarterback room on Wednesday with the signing of transfer Ta’Quan Roberson to a Financial Aid Agreement. Roberson, a former top-15 quarterback recruit out of high school, is transferring to K-State after two seasons at UConn after he began his collegiate career at Penn State. He is the third FBS transfer signee by the Wildcats this spring after they picked up running back Dylan Edwards and linebacker Alec Marenco.
