(AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs expect to have wide receiver Mecole Hardman on the field for the first time in nearly two months on Sunday when they play the Denver Broncos in the penultimate game of the regular season. Hardman has been out since Nov. 6 with an abdominal injury that landed him on injured reserve. MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — Edward Seaton, a longtime Kansas newspaper publisher who served as the Pulitzer Prize Board’s chair and advocated for international press freedom, has died. He was 79. He died of natural causes Monday night at his home in Manhattan in northeastern Kansas, his son, Ned, who followed his father as publisher of The Manhattan Mercury, told the newspaper. Edward Seaton was chairman of Seaton Publications at the time of his death. Starting in January, parking regulations are set to change in the Aggieville Entertainment District. The first to go into effect focuses on street parking, and begins on Tuesday January 3rd says Manhattan Parking Services Manager Adrienne Tucker. “The three-hour limit on parking has been reduced to two hours,” she says. “And we will be enforcing parking through LPR or license plate recognition technology versus the traditional chalking method.” The two hour limit was settled on in a compromise between city and Aggieville representatives in 2022. Joseph Stepney, 44, of Manhattan was arrested on December 21, 2022, around 2:00 a.m. for failure to appear in court for charges of aggravated assault on LEO and interference with LEO. These charges stem from his original arrest on May 14, 2022, when he walked away from officers attempting to arrest him on a separate Pottawatomie County District Court warrant, then armed himself with a metal rake. Stepney remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $20,000.
