The 12th annual Manhattan Community Christmas Dinner will be back to provide another meal on Christmas Day this year. The event averages approximately 50 volunteers every year who oversee the cooking and distribution of hundreds of free meals to members of the Manhattan Community. The early signing period saw Kansas State’s football program gain the signatures on letters of intent from 15 players, starting early Wednesday morning. Coach Chris Klieman addressed the math behind that number. The USD 475 Geary County School Board recently voted to allow the district to enter a lease-purchase agreement to acquire the funds necessary to build the new Early Childhood Center on the site of the former Junction City High School.
