The countdown to the season opener for K-State football is at eight days with an expection that one of the top recruiting classes in program history could provide depth this season. (K-State Athletics) – Kansas State head coach Jerome Tang announced on Thursday afternoon (August 24) the additions of walk-ons Taymont Lindsey (Kerens, Texas/Kerens/Manhattan Christian College) and Mack Martin (Overland Park, Kan./IMG Academy) to his program for the 2023-24 season. ESPN reports the conference is seriously considering the additions of Stanford, Cal and SMU. The ACC will reportedly hold further discussions this week with financials being the main concern for current ACC schools. A vote for adding new schools would require 12 of the 15 current members to vote in favor.
