The Manhattan Area Habitat for Humanity broke ground Friday morning in Ogden on its 31st home project, one that boasts the ability to produce as much power as it consumes. Coined Build 31 and located at 201 S. Elm Street across the street from Ogden Elementary, in the spot where a deteriorated structure once stood. Executive Director Josh Brewer says the occasion represents a ‘moment of change.’ “The City [of Ogden] has been very welcoming, very supportive of this sort of work – oftentimes we are removing dangerous inventory from their market and so they’re thankful for that,” Brewer says.…
AAA Kansas is forecasting a strong return to travel this Memorial Day weekend, both at the national and state levels. Public and Government Affairs Manager Shawn Steward says they are projecting around 39.2 million Americans traveling this weekend, an increase of 8.3 percent from one year ago. “We’re looking at almost 329,000 Kansans traveling more than 50 miles from their homes and that’s up 10 percent over last year’s numbers. (Kansas State Sports Information) – Kickoff times and television selections for the first three K-State football games of 2022 – each of which will be played inside Bill Snyder Family Stadium – have been announced, as the Big 12 Conference and its television partners have made selections for the first quarter of the 2022 slate.
