Officers detained several people in Liberal. Immigrant advocates said several others were also detained in Dodge City, Garden City and surrounding areas. The Riley County Police Department has announced three additional arrests related to two connected shootings from last fall. 39-year-old Katrece Johnson, of Manhattan; 17-year-old Dontavious Temple, of Topeka; and 21-year-old Dontreveon Temple McGlory have each been charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, three counts of criminal damage to property and single counts of unlawful discharge and criminal discharge of a firearm. Johnson and McGlory are also charged with two counts each of contributing to a child’s misconduct and aggravated child endangerment, and are both in custody on $1 million bonds. Katrece Johnson, 39, of Manhattan was arrested on April 9, 2025, around 6:50 p.m. in the 1800 block of Claflin Road. Johnson was charged with two counts of attempted murder in the 1st degree, three counts of criminal damage to property, unlawful discharge of a firearm in city limits, criminal discharge of firearm, two counts of contributing to a child’s misconduct and two counts of aggravated endangering a child. Sophomore forward Imani Lester and junior Gisela Sanchez are the two latest portal entrants for the Wildcats, according to reports. Lester is leaving Manhattan behind for her final two years of eligibility after transferring into to K-State from Louisville as a redshirt freshman, while Sanchez, a Spaniard who transferred in from Arizona after her freshman year, will be looking for a place to play her final year of collegiate basketball. Ronnie Summerset Jr., 26, was found guilty last month of the charges of multiple counts of criminal threat, multiple violations of protective orders and two counts of stalking after his attorneys Tricia Black and Brenda Jordan reached a plea agreement with the state. Jerry Moran of Kansas pushed back against President Donald Trump’s vision of a trade war by joining a dozen cosponsors of federal legislation restricting unilateral tariffs without consent of Congress.
