By Michael Goens Every appearance shows that Kansas State men’s basketball needs a hyper-engaged Dug McDaniel to avoid the need to dig out of a massive, outer-space-like hole within the 2024-25 basketball season. The interim of Wildcat games 11 and 12 were not the first time McDaniel has been forced into a ‘dig deeper’ challenge from the K-State coaching staff. By Tim Everson Thanks to transfers and a couple NFL-bound former starters, Kansas State will look a little different when they run out onto the field to play in the Rate Bowl in Phoenix on Dec. 26. On Wednesday, K-State released its first updated depth chart since the regular season ended, and there are multiple changes after some postseason roster churn. By Emma Loura RCPD director Brian Peete on Thursday told Riley County commissioners crime in Riley County in November was 18% below the five-year average, though he acknowledged it may not seem that way to residents. “Now I know saying that, actual stats and perception of crime are two entirely different things,” Peete said. “For the last few months, we have seen a sharp increase in crimes that were related to firearms.
