The Greater Manhattan Community Foundation has pledged to match all donations made to the 2018 Manhattan Flood Recovery Fund.
The GMCF created the Recovery Fund to provide assistance to residents affected by the Labor Day flood of Wildcat Creek.
GMCF officials said in a release that they will retroactively match all donations that have already been made as well as any future contributions up to $50,000.
To date, the GMCF has received just over $13,000 in donations.
Donations can be made at www.MCFKS.org as well as over the phone by calling (785) 587-8995. Donations can also be made via text messaging by texting FLOOD to (785) 284-8783.
Applications to receive financial assistance can be found at the GMCF website listed above or at the City of Manhattan website at CityofMHK.org/flood.
