    Geary County authorities investigating double fatality near Milford Lake

    The Junction City Police Department and Geary County Sheriff’s Department are investigating a double fatality in the Milford Lake area involving two people who were allegedly involved in a forced entry and kidnapping incident late Thursday night.

    At around 10 p.m., Junction City police officers responded to incident at a Junction City address involving a potential kidnapping and protection-order complaint.

    Officers were told that 27-year-old Zachary Lima entered a residence and forced 24-year-old Christopher Young outside at gunpoint.

    The Geary County Sheriff’s Department later responded to the Milford Lake Area where they discovered the bodies of Lima and Young at the Corp of Engineers Ponds near the Milford Lake Dam.
