Manhattan Public Library, Anthony Middle School announce partnership

Manhattan Public Library and Susan B. Anthony Middle School are teaming up to increase students’ access to digital reading materials.

According to the library, they have formed a partnership that provides access to thousands of age-appropriate books for students’ use inside the classroom, at home, or anywhere 24/7. Middle school students can now use Sora to borrow from both the school’s collection as well as the public library’s digital collections. Being able to access books digitally eliminates transportation issues for students.

Rather than a separate library card, students will be able to use their school credentials through the app. Sora also supports teachers by offering classroom-specific tools like personal assignments, reading analytics, and exportable notes to individualize learning.

The Sora app is available for Susan B. Anothony Middle School students to download through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. IT is also available for use on web browsers at soraapp.com.

The Manhattan Public Library also offers access the Sunflower eLibrary’s complete eBook and audiobook collection to the entire community of Manhattan. A valid library card is all that is needed.
