Riley County Police arrested 21-year-old Gregoria Baez of Manhattan in suspicion of involuntary manslaughter Saturday night.

RCPD received a call of an unresponsive person in the 1400 block of Vista Lane around 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

There they found 21-year-old Felix Flores of Manhattan suffering from a life-threatening gun shot wound.

Flores — who WIBW reports was a Geary County corrections officer — was transported to Via Christi, then flown to Stormont Vail in Topeka where he died of his injuries Sunday morning.

Baez is held on a $20,000 bond in connection with the shooting and is being confined to the Riley County Jail.

RCPD said in a release that no further information is available as the investigation is still ongoing.
