The person chosen to be the next director of the Riley County Police Department has withdrawn his candidacy, according to a release. They did not reveal which candidate was that chosen finalist.
The Riley County Law Board will discuss their next steps at their meeting scheduled for Monday at noon.
The meeting will be held at the VFW building in Randolph. It will also be streamed live on the RCPD Facebook page.
