A public meeting is planned tonight by the Army Corps of Engineers at the Milford Lake Dam.
They’ll be discussing the situation at the Geary County reservoir, which also has rising levels. Gauges on the National Weather Service website show levels on the Republican River at Milford Lake reaching 1170.5 feet above mean sea level. The level where water would go out the spillway on the south end of the reservoir is 1176.25 ft.
The meeting is planned for 6 p.m. tonight. It can also be viewed online on the US Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City district Facebook page.
