A St. Marys man was arrested on multiple sex crimes involving children Tuesday, according to a Thursday release by Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s officials.
52-year-old Peter Palmeri was arrested on a warrant for 2 counts of rape, 6 counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child, 3 counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, 1 count of aggravated kidnapping and 1 count of furnishing alcohol to a minor.
Sheriff Greg Riat writes that the arrest comes after an investigation into reported allegations against Palmeri — which resulted in a warrant being issued.
Palmeri remains confined to the Pottawatomie County Jail and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
