For a second straight season, MHS girls tennis has won the Centennial League title. The Indians were led by league singles champion Jillian Harkin who moved to 28-0 on the season with a 5-0 tournament. Last week, Harkin stayed unbeaten by knocking off previously 21-1 Ashley Jacobsen of Olathe Northwest. That capped a stretch of two tournament titles in 24 hours after competing at Emporia and Topeka West. Harkin now moves on to regionals on Saturday at Wichita East. Congratulations to Jillian Harkin of Manhattan High School, the K-State Credit Union/KMAN “Student Athlete of the Week!”
