A Manhattan man who was pursued on foot by Riley County Police officers into City Park after a shooting in Aggieville during the early morning hours last May has been sentenced to more than four years in prison.
Mark Self was sentenced Monday morning to 52 months for attempted involuntary manslaughter to run consecutively with 6 months for aggravated weapons violation, to be served with KDOC. Self also faces 24 months post-release supervision.
Self fired 9 rounds in the alley behind Tubby’s last May after a bar fight which started inside. Self was illegally in possession of a fire arm. Two people were injured including Kevin Green, 26, of Manhattan and Jeremy Caudill, 19, of Fort Riley.
