A teen suspect who had entered a no contest plea to attempted second degree murder in Pottawatomie County is now requesting a hearing to withdraw that plea. Dakota Fair is currently set for a status hearing June 23rd. Fair’s attorney also filed a motion to withdraw, which was granted.
In early April Fair entered the no contest plea–also to discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle and felon in possession of a firearm in connection with the late December shooting of Tyrel Britton, 23, on Mt. Zion Road in rural St. George. Britton was flown to Topeka for medical treatment following the shooting but survived his injuries.
In other Pottawatomie County Court news, an arraignment for Jarvis Clark, 26, who faces numerous battery charges. was continued to June seventh. Clark was arrested after an April 22nd domestic disturbance in which a caller reported gunshots had been fired at a home on East Webster Street in Louisville. Clark’s bond was originally set at $500,000 on seven charges which included domestic battery, aggravated assault, and criminal discharge of a firearm into an occupied dwelling.
