FORT RILEY, Kan. – Fort Riley officials have released an update involving a soldier found dead at approximately 5:30 Monday morning in his barracks room at the Warrior Transition Battalion.
21-year-old Specialist Nathan Conley, an M1 armor crewman, was assigned to the WTB in February. He deployed to Iraq from November 2010 to this past February in support of Operation New Dawn.
Conley’s death is under investigation, and officials have not yet released information on the cause of death .
The Warrior Transition Battalion’s mission is to support the rehabilitation and successful transition of wounded, ill and injured Soldiers back to active duty or to veteran status.
