    More construction work on K-18

By KMAN Staff on August 25, 2011 Local News

Sometime during the late afternoon tomorrow (Friday, August 26), eastbound and westbound K-18 traffic will be switched to a head to head configuration with one lane each direction from approximately one-half mile west of the Manhattan Airport Entrance to Scenic Drive, for construction of a box bridge, box culvert extension, and concrete pipe across the eastbound lanes on K-18 in Riley County.

Traffic will be directed through the project work zone via signage. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes, if possible. Traffic will be restricted to one 12-foot wide lane in both directions on K-18. Reduced speed limits will also be posted throughout the project work zone.

This traffic configuration will be in place through mid-November, weather permitting.

The scheduled completion date for all three K-18 project phases is late 2013. Additional information including project phasing, traffic impacts and more can be found online: http://www.ksdot.org/topekaMetro/projectstudyNEKS.asp
