Plenty of athleticism and speed will be on display in Hays on Saturday night for the 38th annual Kansas Shrine Bowl football game. But, the day will kick off with the Shrine Bowl all-star cross country meet. Representing the West squad will be Kelly Roberts and Rebekah Sweet of Wamego on the girls side. On the East will be Janelle Bailey of Riley County and Christina Smith of Manhattan in the girls race, and Reid Buchanan of Manhattan for the boys. Heading up the coaching staff will be Riley County’s Garry Sigle, who’s retiring after 30 years of coaching.
