KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP)   Bruce Chen pitched eight crisp innings, Alex Gordon homered and the Kansas City Royals beat the Minnesota Twins 4-0 on Tuesday night.  Chen (11-7) allowed two singles, struck out eight and walked one. He was 0-2 with a 7.94 ERA in his previous two starts.  Chen yielded a leadoff single to Ben Revere, who stole second.  He was the only Twin to get past first base against the left-hander.  Danny Valencia singled in the fifth for Minnesota’s only other hit off Chen.
