LEAVENWORTH, Kan. (AP) A Leavenworth man has pleaded guilty to shooting another man to death during an attempted robbery.
Twenty-two-year-old Bobby K. Brown pleaded guilty Tuesday to second-degree murder and other charges in the Feb. 14 death of Stephen Knox-Brune.
The Leavenworth Times reports that Brown had been charged with felony murder but the charge was amended as part of a plea agreement.
Knox-Brune was shot during a struggle with Brown over a weapon. Prosecutors said the shooting was intentional, while Brown’s attorneys said it was an accident.
Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 4.
