Riley County firefighters were called to a fire at 19,420 Peach Grove at 6:16 a.m. (Friday).  Riley County Asst. Fire Chief Doug Messer tells KMAN firefighters weren’t able to do much to save the structure as it was fully involved in fire and was collapsing when they arrived.  The home belonged to Duane and Julia Sump.  Duane Sump was a long-time firefighter.

Cause of the fire has not yet been determined, although it does not seem to involve a heating device. 19 firefighters from five different stations responded.

    There were no injuries.
