Following their 59-21 pasting of arch-rival Kansas on Saturday, the Kansas State Football team has risen three spots to 8th in the latest BCS Standings which were unveiled Sunday night.  K-State also moved up to 10th in the AP Poll and 12th in the USA Today Coaches Poll.  The BCS and AP rankings are K-State’s first Top 10 rankings since just after the Big 12 Championship Game victory over Oklahoma in 2003.

LSU topped the standings followed by Alabama at #2 and Oklahoma State at #3.  Oklahoma, following their stunning 41-38 home loss to Texas Tech Saturday night dropped to #9.

K-State will welcome the Sooners to Bill Snyder Family Stadium for the Homecoming Game on Saturday.  Coverage begins on the Gameday Network with Powercat Gameday Saturday morning at 10:30 and kickoff will be at 2;30 p.m.  You can hear the game live on Sportsradio 1350 KMAN and watch it on ESPN.
