WICHITA, Kan. (AP) A small church in west Wichita was heavily damaged in a fire but no injuries were reported.

Wichita firefighters who went to the scene about 12:30 a.m. Monday encountered heavy smoke and flames.

KFDI reports that firefighters had to fight the blaze from outside in part because a nearby power line was arcing. They eventually put out the fire.

The cause is under investigation. Fire Investigations Capt. Stu Bevis says the fire did $130,000 in damage.
