Riley County police are releasing a description of a suspect in Friday night’s fatal shooting of a Fort Riley soldier Ogden man. The individual is described as a black male, 5’8″ to 6′ tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds, probably 25 to 35 years of age. He was described as bald with a moustache and beard, and may have been wearing a green jacket at the time of the shooting. The description comes from witnesses in the area.

U.S. Army Sgt. Ronald Taylor, 28, died after the shooting, driving into a residence at Seventh and Walnut after he was wounded late Friday evening. Officers arrived to find a citizen administering CPR at which time they learned he had been shot prior to the accident. Taylor was taken to Irwin Army hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Taylor served two tours of duty in Iraq. He was an Army X-ray technician and father of a young boy.
